Tyler Grace was a National Merit Finalist and graduated from Reno High School in Reno, Nevada in 1990.
He attended Dartmouth College earning an earth science major in 1994. He received a biology degree at
the University of Oregon in 1996. After a brief stint as a field geologist, he earned a major in enology and
viticulture at California State University, Fresno in 1999. Following an internship at Heitz cellars, he traveled
to Coonawarra, Australia for the 2000 southern hemisphere crush. Upon his return to California he worked
at Quail Ridge Winery in Rutherford for two years, then moved on to be assistant winemaker at Bell Wine
Cellars in Yountville from 2002 until 2007. He has been a winemaker at a well established winery in
El Dorado County from 2007 to 2009. He is the fourth great grandson of Lewis Grace and the winemaker
for Grace Patriot Wines. His winemaking style is a reflection of his experience in Napa Valley and the
Sierra Foothills.
